Personal life and interests
Karen works in the family businesses, School Stationers Corp., a paper ruling and converting company, and Westhaven Golf Club, an 18 hole public golf course with restaurant/bar.
Her husband Bob is her escort and has traveled many miles with her. They have two children a son Jason, daughter Tina, grandson Alex, three step-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandchild. They enjoy spending time with their family. Karen’s mother is a member of Oriental Chapter in Oshkosh, and her late father was a Master Mason in Oshkosh Lodge #27.
Karen enjoys gardening, camping, reading and traveling.
She also enjoys
traveling with grandson Alex. A two week (or more if possible) trip is planned each year with Alex. Watching Alex as he discovers America and Canada and its National Parks is a joy and presents many good stories.

Karen has served Oriental Chapter as Worthy Matron, Associate Matron, and Secretary
During the Stair Way to the Stars session, with Wally Lindholm, PGP, and Carol Biddick, PGM, she served the Grand Chapter as Grand Representative to the District of Columbia. Diane Williamson, PGM, and Harold Carpenter, PGP, appointed Karen as Grand Warder, during the Peaceful Journeys session in 2000-2001.
Nick Schultz, PGP and Karen, PGM presided over the Garden of Knowledge session in 2004-2005.
