Rae-Ellen Preuss

I am originally from Wauwatosa, WI and am a majority member of Bethel 9, Job's Daughters. After I married Tom, thirty seven years ago, we moved to the Mukwonago area on Eagle Spring Lake and have been here ever since! We have two daughters, Rachel and Elizabeth. Rachel is married to Christopher and they live in Oconomowoc. Rachel is a PHQ of Bethel 63 and also a member of LaBelle Chapter. My greatest blessing calls me "Grandma". Rachel's son, Clinton, our grandson, is thirteen and very involved in music....guitar, chorus and show choir. I am so proud to have been able to share him with his paternal great grandparents, Darleen and Chester Cholka. Our youngest daughter, Elizabeth, is finishing her sophomore year at U.W. Madison. This week, she is majoring in global security and international studies. Who knows what next week will bring?

Not being eligible for the OES in the 1990s, I encouraged my dad, Raymond Belz, to become a mason, so I could join Star. At the age of 72, he joined through the Wisconsin (Shawano) program. He kept saying, "I'm only doing this so my daughter can join Star."....until the night he was raised....then he said, "I'm sorry I didn't do this sooner." So, on November 14, 1991, I joined LaBelle Chapter. The many friendships I have made are some of my most treasured blessings.

When I'm not home in Eagle, you can probably find Tom and I at our cabin in Grand Marais, Minnesota on our "other" lake.....Lake Superior.....what can I say, I searched for a bigger lake! Tom built our cabin in 2005, the year he retired. I am extremely proud of him, for, other than the block basement, he has done all the work himself. Wanna see pictures???

Over the years, I've work for the state of Wisconsin and the Social Security Administration. I have volunteered at my church as Sunday School superintendent, chairman of our church preschool, church clerk, flower committee chair, memorial committee chair and deacon. I'll be the moderator in 2008-09 for the Wisconsin Congregational Association. I am a licensed bartender and have been a wine steward in a fine dining restaurant. I have a BA in communication from U.W. Milwaukee and a certification in floral design. I'm still not sure what I want to do when I grow up. I'll let you know.
